Chef Salhoff worked with Jay Carlson on perfecting his Mexican Cheesesteak Taco recipe to take home the prize at the Tailgate Throwdown sponsored by WIP on Saturday December 13th. Jay and Jennifer managed to capture the popular vote and wow the competition judge - the dapper and well respected Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix.
Chef Jennifer chose to sear the skirt steaks at the tasting table making the tacos as fresh as possible for the event helping her team take the win! Mexican Cheesesteak Tacos
Marinated grilled skirt steak tacos topped with Cojita cheese, cilantro, onions and an Adobo pepper sour cream sauce blends the star ingredients of both Philly’s famous cheesesteak and a taco.
