On Tuesday, September 12 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Washington DC's top bartenders and mixologists will battle it out for the title of Best Rum Cocktail at the Mixology Match, hosted by The Cocktail Nation™ at Cuba Libre in Penn Quarter.

Tickets for the event are $40, and include a night of cocktails, food, and live music by the Latin band Quimbao, with all proceeds from the event benefitting CORE - Children of Restaurant Employees.

Each mixologist will be asked to create a cocktail using one specific type of rum from the following categories: white, añejo, spiced, flavored, 100% sugar cane, and dark. The resulting concoctions will be judged by an expert panel and event attendees will have a chance to cast a popular vote after tasting each of the competing cocktails.
