Want to learn how to cook like a Cuban Chef? Join Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot for an educational evening of cooking and culture at Reading Terminal Market! Thursday, October 25th at 5:30 p.m.

Join us on Thursday, October 25th and learn how to shop for ingredients and prepare a meal like one of Philly's best chefs! In this new monthly afterhours dinner series, Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot will take you on a shopping tour through Reading Terminal Market for ingredients, lead you through a cooking demonstration, and then invite you to sit down and enjoy a multi-course, seasonal meal, sourced entirely from the Market. This intimate event will highlight how the Market can provide everything that you need to make a chef caliber meal at home.

 

During the tour the chef will show you how to choose the best ingredients for your meal and where they chose to source them from within the Market. Next, they will walk you through a step-by-step demonstration on how to make one of the courses on the evening's menu using the ingredients that were just purchased. Finally, you will be experiencing gustatory bliss as you enjoy a one-of-a-kind dinner prepared in the open kitchen.

 

In October 2018, Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot released his second cookbook: CUBA COOKS: Recipes and Secrets from Cuban Paladares and Their Chefs, which will take readers on an incredible journey through the history, the culture and the ingredients that comprise Cuban cuisine. He is also planning a culinary cruise to Cuba with Victory Cruise Lines, in March 2019, so guests can experience some of the paladares profiled in his new book. 

 

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and run till approximately 9:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale NOW and are $105 per person. This event will sell out, so get your tickets today!
